About Us

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks is a brand of Logisnext Co. Ltd. who design, manufacture, sell and distribute a comprehensive range of high-quality, innovative warehouse equipment, IC / electric counterbalance forklifts, and AGV solutions.

With approx. 12,000 employees and total sales of around £5,821 million GBP (As of March 2024), LN is the world’s fifth-largest industrial truck manufacturer.

The equipment supplied for European materials handling solutions in logistics and warehousing are designed and produced at the group's production facilities in Spain, Finland, China and Japan. Consequently, our spread of customers are involved in storage and distribution warehousing (raw material and finished goods) as well as manufacturing with interests that include the production of food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, metal & automotive and the building industry.

History

We belong to a group that has a rich history of design and production, formed by leading brands in the materials handling industry. In 2017, the group expanded with the acquisition of UniCarriers Corporation and formed Mitsubishi Logisnext Group. Today this is known as Logisnext Europe.

LNE is responsible for the design, manufacture, market and service of the Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks brand throughout Europe and the UK.

The Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks brand has been available in the UK since 1970s supplied by an established dealer network. In January 2023 this supply chain was enhanced by the introduction of a direct to customer organisation with the re-branding of the UniCarriers business. Together these two routes to market aim to increase the Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks market share by providing tailored customer handling and service solutions.

Awards

We put great design at the heart of everything we do. It's no surprise that our products have caught the eyes of awards panels time and time again.

Our RBN series reach truck was named a Fennia Prize Grand Prix winner by Design Forum Finland for its human-centric design approach:

"Users were the starting point for the product development and design of the reach truck. The result was a truck that is easy to use and can be customized to suit the driver's needs."

In recent years Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has gained five Red Dot international design awards, joining an illustrious honour roll of winners including BMW, Apple, Porsche, and Bose. Since 1955, the Red Dot award has recognised exceptional products that demonstrate why "design is an integral part of innovative product solutions".

The 80 V EDiA EX electric counter­balance was named a Red Dot winner in 2015, with the jury stating that it "...fulfils high demands of ergonomics and functionality and thus facilitates intuitive, fluid operation".

In 2016 SENSiA EM joined EDiA on the winners list, praised for being "... well-conceived to the last detail. It also incorporates innovative technologies in order to further optimise operating convenience".

EDiA EM gained its own Red Dot in 2019 thanks to its exceptional ergonomics and advanced technologies.

And EDiA XL completed the set for our EDiA range after being named one of the Red Dot recipients for 2023.

At the UK Material Handling Association's annual Awards for Excellence, we have taken home an Archie no fewer than ten times. In fact, we were the first manufacturer to walk away with the top honours in every one of the "big four" product categories: Safety, Environment, Ergonomics, and Innovation.

The most recent win was in 2022, when EDiA XL claimed the Environment award thanks to its innovative feature set making it an excellent alternative to IC engine models.
